Microsoft Excel Resources
Microsoft Sites
- Microsoft maintains many templates, training resources, and updates on their Excel site.
- MSDN Excel Blog is a place to follow the Microsoft developers blogs covering some very technical aspects of both Excel and Excel Services.
- GoogleDocs is a free collaboration service provided by Google. Many say this is the future of office productivity suites. GoogleDocs is an example (and a leader in the field) of Software as Service (see also Salesforce.com and Office Live). SaS provided document creation, editing, and sharing all on-line. GoogleDocs is able to create, edit, upload, and share Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files (not 2007 format).
TechRepublic
- TechRepublic maintains a great collection of essays related to advanced topics in Excel.
JMP
- JMP is another, much more advanced tool which can be used to advanced statistical analysis and charting. Those working in certain specialized fields and doing very advanced work might be interested.
Templates
In addition to the Microsoft site here is an extensive collection of calculators and templates from Vertex42 (including OpenOffice.org templates!).
