- identify basic finance and cost concepts
- identify the fundamental concepts in budgeting
- identify the various cost estimating techniques and the methods of controlling costs
- evaluate certain financial statements and concepts of project appraisal

- IT professionals without prior financial expertise who as a part of their job will be required to understand financial budgeting and project costing for the purposes of creating IT budgets and cost control measures
